Course Summary: This course will produce you with a working knowledge of AccuLogs and then take it to a deeper level of geological interpretation. Customize IHS' 2.5 million depth-registered raster well log images and manipulate them to properly represent your subsurface evaluations through creating cross sections and picking the appropriate geological zones on them. Also learn how to incorporate both Digital Raster log images into your cross sections for faster and more accurate interpretations.
Prerequisites: AccuMap Introduction and/or AccuMap Geology Maps & Data
Course topics include:
- - Launch the single well log viewer from a Well DataCard
- - Create user tops and placing them on logs
- - Build cross-sections with index maps, AccuCards, core analysis, DST charts and production
- - Toggle between structural and stratigraphic datum surfaces
- - Annotate logs by adding text and geological interpretations to cross-sections
- - Work with raster and digital logs
- - Incorporate your proprietary (raster and digital) logs on a cross-section
- - Measure thickness on your logs and assign measured values to your user top database such as net pay, net sand, etc.
- - Create typelogs to compare to other wells and fine-tune correlations
- -Customize and utilize templates for working with tops and pick tops horizontally or vertically to match your preferred workflow
