The Microseismic class focuses on the basics of operating the new IHS Kingdom Microseismic software. You will learn how to load microseismic event and well treatment data. You will see techniques for viewing and filtering microseismic event data, for viewing well treatment data, for creating microseismic event subsets by stage and by cut and crop options, and techniques for displaying best fit planes and volumes for event subsets. You will also learn how to generate new microseismic attributes, including X, Y, Z-Time, and Z-Depth adjustments, borehole and horizon distance attributes, and extracted data attributes. In addition, you will be shown how to calculate event subset statistics, display histograms of almost any microseismic data type, and how to use the new 2D Crossplot option to create and view crossplots of any combination of microseismic data.
